Meal prep. The words themselves stress some people.
I’ve been asked about my meal prep routine and decided I’d share it with all of you.
Keep it simple – I admire those people who devote an entire day to meal prep. However, I’m not one of them. When I’m cutting veggies for dinner, I cut the entire thing. That way what’s left is used for lunches or my breakfast, even snacks! I cut them while the meat is cooking. Sometimes I’ll keep cutting veggies till the timer goes off.
Smoothie bags – I wrote a blog about this a while back. This is a great tool in Getting kids involved in meal prep
Make extra – when i make chicken breast or sausage for dinner, I’ll cook a few extra to use for my salads, or whatever else I’ll be eating.
The most important thing to do is to do what works best for you and your family! If spending an entire day works for you, then do that! If cutting as you go works for you then do that! There’s no perfect formula.
Hope this helps!
