soup oh how I love thee

Soup. I love soup.

I could easily eat it every day! My family on the other hand, they’re not fans. I’ve come into the habit of making my own chicken broth, and I love it! Honestly, sometimes I’ll just enjoy a bowl of broth.  It’s SO GOOD!

When I make my chicken broth I put  the bones and skin with a few herbs in the slow cooker for 24 to 36 hours.

Because it’s my favourite and easy to make I usually do some version of chicken soup with celery and carrots.  This week’s broth I decided to do something a little bit different.

I purchased bag of kale blend that I originally intended for salad but decided to put it in my soup instead.

With a little bit of extra salt it was perfect!!
